A (progressive!, believe it or not) photojournalist touring the U.S. offers a stunning and powerful portrait of America, showing what is holding it together.
[I went on twitter to his page and couldn't help but scan through a multitude of posts]

I think most of us, poor or rich, go someplace on a regular basis that invariably connects us to our communities or to others in general.

Where do you go, Gulchers? I'll start first...

This is very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

It reminded me of an event in my youth. I was 15 or 16 and working at the local McD's. In one of my rare stints at the register (I preferred not to deal with the public) I remember serving coffee to a guy who was obviously homeless. I remember watching him counting the change in his palm to come up with the money. It bothered me to see a grown man in that state...

My work is where I connect with others, too busy working and writing to go anywhere in my community but I get that human contact with families that visit their loved ones here at Conn Hospice...
I've met many interesting people and generally try to leave them better than when I met them.

Me dino on a Squeaks the Minus Point Troll patrol can see why someone else may have given you a zero.
Well, if someone does not like the article maybe due to the c-word and the mc-word in it,, they should just come say so.
Lots n' lots of people congregate in churches, y'all. That's just a fact. I often drive by several going from Point A to Point B.
Three fixed Squeaks hits down, one to go in NEW.
