Let's see...I'm a criminal thug. Who am I going to attack, someone I know is unarmed because the law won't allow him or her to carry firearms, or someone who might be carrying a firearm because the law allows it and might shoot me? Criminals are immoral, but they're not stupid.

More common sense from Uncommonsense. I saw a statistic once that said the US is at the top of the list for countries with gun crimes however if you take out the top 5 cities we are at the bottom. Those 5 cities are run by Democrats and have the strictest gun control legislation.

  Yes, but those mayors and the Dem Gov's say that because the guns can be purchased elsewhere that's why they get to their cities. So the answer is to ban and confiscate all the legal guns from law abiding citizens - you know, those that have done the background check, that purchase ammunition by mail order or credit card, go to a shooting range, belong to the NRA, etc.
