Make America Great Again

I definitely do not agree with everything our President wants to do. I did not want to "replace" Obamacare. I hate his trade policies and I do not like him catering to unions. But it has been pure enjoyment to see how the left is in such a frenzy for not getting their way! I posted this on my FaceBook page last week and got quite a lot of commotion. "You were all caught off guard because you all just did not understand America. You all lived in your bubble of Fake News. The election was Judgment Day for all of you. You were in shock because you thought you knew. You thought you understood. But you just did not have a clue. There was much crying and gnashing of teeth and anger and violence and fear since Judgment Day. But all of these feelings are not because of us or Trump. It is because you did not get your way. It is because you know you are wrong and you have been caught. Finally. You have been caught trying to make America into an unrecognizable America. You have been trying to change her into the very countries people escaped from and built this new country. It is built on God-given Liberty and Freedom and you can’t stand it. You can’t stand that people have the right to their own opinions and the freedom to live their lives as they choose as long as they are hurting no one else. And not selling you a cake or flowers is not hurting you! Businesses are personal possessions and business owners have the right to refuse service to anyone. It is their choice. Not yours. Your choice is to go to another business that is not hateful in your opinion. This is just a basic premise of a free society. No one has a right to tell someone how to live, what they can or cannot do, what they can or cannot think! This is America and we are taking it back!"

I think what influenced my rejection of Hillary supporters was attending a trump rally and noticing the friendliness and independence of the other attendees. Such a stark contrast from the negativity, viciousness , and violence of the Hillary supporters and media. Life is too short to waste it being around them

I have eliminated all "friends" who voted for Hillary. It was an easy way to get rid of those statist people. I wish all Hillary supporters wore armbands signifying their inclinations.

Yes, I do agree with just about everything you've said. I do not think Trump is the best person, but he is our President and he has guts. And he thinks a lot more logically than most politicians of late.

Yes. My sister, whom I love and adore to pieces is a liberal. Our husbands have banned political talk when we are all together because she and I always escalate into a fight. But I still express my values by my actions and by how I live.

Yes! I lost a few Facebook friends, but I wanted there to be no doubt of where my values lie. Even my nephew unfriended me. I'll have to have a talk with him at Thanksgiving this year.

I have much the same problem. Both of my Senat-
ors are Democrats; my Representative is a Demo-
crat from a gerrymandered district. (Still, there has
recently been a redrawing of the boundary; so may-
    be I'll have to check).

" It's all about government and money, the government gets bigger and charges us to subsidize their salary so they can make more laws."

Yep, you hit right on the head. BT

Good Luck. While I agree wholeheartedly with your comments, I have to wish America Good Luck on getting back to the foundation of this country. I think we have moved too far away to go back anywhere near where we should be. Today whenever something seems or is not right, even though both sides totally agree with the basic premise, we've all got different ideas on how to fix it. Government intervention should not always be the answer. It seems anything the government gets into, that it should not be in, turns out to be a catastrophe or at least a huge controversial issue and costly issue, and just increases the cost to the tax payers. Healthcare is a perfect example, it has no business being connected to the government and where does it say that we should have to subsidize it with our tax dollars. Leave it to free enterprise, everyone will still get care if it is needed. What makes it an entitlement that everyone else has to contribute tax money for? How about food, shouldn't food be more of a moral issue, everyone needs it, why does the government not subsidize it? Oh, I forgot about Food Stamps, look where that has taken us. It becomes an entitlement and success is measured by the number of people on the program, not the opposite, and more government employees just to manage it. How about free food for everyone? Look what it's done to some other dictatorships and socialistic countries..

Even Trump doesn't see a lot of the government infringements on our Liberty and Freedom, places the government shouldn't be, that should be abolished. He's going to gradually get more political and start giving in to the socialists we've got representing us today. Government intervention into everything creates way too many laws and way too many government employees for making and enforcing the rules. Take guns, we've all heard about gun laws, how many you can buy a month in some states, then we’ve got ammo laws, the number of rounds or the type of rounds, then magazine laws, how many will it hold, now laws about the way a gun looks, is it black or pink, or whether it's got a pistol grip or what kind of stock, and even suppressor laws. Give me a break and the right to protect my ears without having to pay a $200/yr. licensing fee just for the suppressor, and more government employees to manage it. It's all about government and money, the government gets bigger and charges us to subsidize their salary so they can make more laws. Make a law against shooting/killing people, that should be sufficient and therefore cover all the issues related to guns, knives, and baseball bats, period. And why do we have so many laws that we don't enforce anymore? That's plain stupid, there ought to be a law against it. Just my two cents worth, at almost three quarters of a century already, I’m in the checkout column anyway. All I can do is hope President Trump, follows through on most of his promises because I know neither of my Senators (WA) will even listen to me anymore. All I ever get back from one is a form letter, and the other just plain ignores me.

I can agree with you on all counts except perhaps the "God given" part. I think that we should recognize the fact that liberty and freedom, as you put it, is necessary for the pursuit of happiness and the extent that it is lessened, to that extent, liberty and freedom are not possible.

as long as the trump people are in power, socialism will be slowed down for sure.

What will be key is whether Trump's supporters can keep the left on the run in the next election and the one after that. If the anti-"progressive" coalition can hold together and continue to elect presidents, the swamp will eventually get drained.

Well said. And, yes - the left is dangerously out of their domes right now. I know several and, frankly, am saddened to see them in such duress. (because they are friends and I care about them) But, it's like a psychosis.

"No one has a right to tell someone how to live..." This, my friend, is what it's all about for me.

Excellent. There is still a lot of work to do. Establishment Republicans and Democrats are going to try and stop everything he wants to do. Paul Ryans health care plan is a perfect example. It's not even close to what we were promised. I still have hope.

Socialist snowflakes think its okay for a Big Brother to control freak PC police bully a "free people" about.
ycandrea, I like the way two of your sentences rhyme if you pull out one that's in between~
"You were in shock because you thought you knew.
But you just did not have a clue."
As for the frenzy we've been watching, lib pundits have done everything save for old-fashioned ripping open their garments and screaming, "Blasphemy!"

He can slow down the practical installation of socialism, but he cant stop it really. Washington is too infested with swamp creatures trying to maintain their agendas. Its really up to us all to "make america great" through our hard work and standing up for our values.

I voted for Trump in order to give our country a respite from the relentless marching of socialism and globalism. I like the idea of like minded people banding together into countries. Immigration can be a good thing if the immigrants embrace our constitution. If they dont, and just want to change the US, then I dont want them here. If that is labeled politically incorrect, so be it. The liberals lost for exactly the reasons noted by yoandrea. Elections have consequences, and as Obama said- now we do it MY way. I hope Trump marches ahead. I think that the liberal upset is a GOOD indication of their fear that their agendas are being upset.

I wish he would get behind Rand Paul's right to work agenda. I would be much happier if he did.

I think the accurate term is "The Pursuit of Happiness" which has nothing to do with the demands of snowflakes who honestly believe Happiness is deserved and for free.
I did not want to replace Obamacare either. I wanted it Nuked entirely. Insurance is a game of winners and losers and providing everyone with low or no cost health care is a pipe dream that will certainly drive insurers out of that business as we are witnessing with Obamacare. The current proposals on the table now are not much better.
