    As a socio-political tactic. Education, abortion, feed the hungry children in ___. E.g. "My opponent cares nothing for the children".

    My wife and I are incapable of bearing children. We are, however, quite fond of the children of our friends and family. I am not referring to children, but rather the concept of "child".

    Someone once told me to keep my posts short. Oops?
