I saw a couple of quotes today that I thought were pretty cool.

However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results. - Winston Churchill

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. - Abraham Lincoln

This is one of my favorites from the late economist, Milton Friedman...."If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years there would be a shortage of sand.

Seems I read that that was on Malcomb Forbes headstone, I see it as the one line instruction manual for a well used life.

    I like funny ones.

Liberty Maniacs Shirt (which I bought):
"Teach a man to fish and he eats for life.
Give a man another man's fish, and he'll vote for you.''

Try this one out for size:

― Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Cat's Cradle

    I just saw this one:
To preserve one's mind intact through a modern college education is a test of courage and endurance. - Ayn Rand

But you and I can recognize true achievement and see it for the beautiful, life affirming thing it is. Good to hear your voice.

Hey stranger. Hope all is well. I love seeing someone else succeed. Seems like most people just assume they must have been lucky or cheated the system.

Hi, Rich! I'm sure I read it somewhere before, but my life experience confirms it. I see it as a variation of Dagnys desire to see greatness and achievement in another person. I love seeing happiness in others.

Anyone can stand by you when you are experiencing adversity; it takes a true friend to feel joy when you're successful and happy
