Apparently Mr. Gregory didn't hear LaPierre when he said that banning the high capacity magazines HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE and it didn't matter... it's insane (not logical Mr. Gregory) to keep trying the same thing and expecting a different result. These media brown nosers are so hopped up on banning guns they can barely discuss any other topic, or sit still. And once again, it's all just feel good bull shit that won't make a damned bit of difference when it comes to protecting schools from lunatics who KNOW they won't be met with force.
I don’t know, but he understood Liberty and individual rights and that seems to be head and shoulders above the majority of today’s politicians. I was an NRA member before he became president of the organization. He sure could command one’s attention. As far as making a good POTUS, he couldn’t have been any worse, and I dare say he would have been better than the last four at least! O.A.
I met Wayne about ten years ago at a book signing. Wayne handled a hostle interview very well. Gregory tried to fluster him. It didn't happen. I am a life member of the NRA. Please consider joining.
I had seen this earlier today pointing out Gregory's double standard.
"David Gregory mocked the NRA's Wayne LaPierre for proposing that armed guards be at every school in America. But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C."
I saw that too.... typical hypocrisy. Reminds me of Rosie O'Donnell going off on Tom Selleck when he was a guest on her show about gun owners only to find out her body guards carried guns and then she had to shut up about it. It's okay for famous people to have protection, but not the average Joe citizen. *eye roll*.
whoa. sanctimonious, hypocritical cretin. it seems odd Sidwell, as a Quaker run school would allow armed guards-but up is down and down is up in Alice in Washington DC great post, big jim! merry christmas!
also, why doesn't the NRA ever articulate arguments regarding artificial markets? Ban all these weapons and now there is a strong demand in a black market for the banned items. Why is there so much border violent crime? Inner city crime? Attractive black markets compared to open free markets. Few questioned in the media take the argument in that direction.
It would only confuse them (the media and the watchers) and add to their misunderstandings and paranoia and bolt them right into a willingness to confiscate all weapons.... Why bring it up when the first topic is too much for them to grasp rationally. (The idea of freedom is already lost on them...why fan the flames?)
For any of you experts out there, is it true that larger magazines have a tendency to jam and so having smaller magazines (clips? my ignorance is showing here) might be worse? I understand there is a time factor, but if you're shooting in a fish bowl-
My "experts" are not readily available for questioning on this topic so I did a little research and found this: http://www.unitedliberty.org/articles/10... It's about the CO shooting, but talks a lot about the magazines and their jamming issues and how....oh just read it. :)
Hmmm I do believe he was in "possession" of a high capacity magazine in D.C. where it isn't legal...me thinks someone should get fined $1000.00 and do some jail time for breaking the law.
That's also LetsShrug's opinion. She felt that after Rosie O Donnell was called on the carpet for her "packin" bodyguards, she got real quiet on gun control
