No doubt abusing ones power is inappropriate, but so is abusing the power of doubt.

Maybe he's fighting back because he feels snubbed in not making the running NYT list, the who's who of people accused of sexual harassment.

Lie detector tests are not reliable, except maybe the guilty knowledge test. I don't understand the details, but I don't think it works to tell if the subject is lying about some act.

I hate to state that fact because it seems like in these times if you're accused of harassment you're guilty until proven innocent.

    The "Court of Public Opinion" is the venue of choice because it has no due process or rules. Damage done here is well nigh impossible to undo.
    
    Further, taking this route ensures that any consequences that come back on the accuser have far less effect than the accusation itself had on its target.
