    You can tell a whole lot by the body language of the losing girls.It was obvious that they were aware of the uneven playing field arrayed against them When in the future someone writes the "Rise and Fall Of The USA", he or she is likely to say "They did it to themselves Strange isn't it?"

      They just need to get used to the idea that from now on they are going to be losers because everyone is equal but they’re not but they will be constantly told that they are.

    First, no two people are PHYSICALLY or MENTALLY EQUAL. Much less people of different genders. And competitions have been used over years to ENCOURAGE people to PREPARE and to COMPETE and to find the best training methods and recovery methods.

    It is NOT about equality. Nothing in NATURE is equal. George Clooney is NOT NEARLY as good looking as I am (or vice versa, he he). I can't have his job. I can't compete. But I bet you I can type faster than he can!

    the point is that all of this equality stuff should be clarified... EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW, and IN THE EYES of LADY JUSTICE. That's it.

    We are not the same. Please stop the insanity. And the 0.3% of the population that are truly transgender... God Bless them, but they don't get to tell the rest of us how to live. And the even RARER group that wants to do sports...

    They can join the team based on the Chromosones... Not the way they feel today!

    Why not just shut down all girls' sports since they obviously can't compete with boys, never have and never will? Just save the money and give all the girls a cheap trophy.
    Then shut down all boys' sports, too, because it isn't fair to honor only those who excel at something.
    Have to exclude attractive girls from the Miss America beauty pageant, too, and certainly include men who don't relate to being men.
    Excellence is irrelevant, especially in minor things like medical research and development of unnecessary gadgets like automobiles, harvesters, refrigeration, telephones.

      LOL! I can just see men in rainbow-colored bikinis (Miss Kalifornia, Miss New York, Miss Massatutusetts, Miss Oregon, etc.) competing at the Miss America Beauty Pageant.

    When I first encountered this story, I started to laugh ... and then peed myself a little. This is just too rich. The illogical left are in the process of eating each other now... it is absurdity to the Nth degree.

    I was thinking of changing my gender identification ... and my name from Pat to Patti...
    I could wear a skirt ... and run a marathon -- and my Boston Qualifying time would be given a 30 minute advantage. In my case, as a 53 year old male -- instead of requiring a 3:30 time, or better ... I just need a 4:00 time, or better. For what it's worth, I can run a marathon very easily in just under four hours. Running in under three and a half hours is hell of an effort. In the near future -- we are going to see this very thing: Men, identifying as Women, running and declaring their BQ times in terms of Women.

    Gender identification is pure bold nonsense. It flies completely against reality and objectivity. Other's have said it -- as Ayn Rand would say "Brother, you asked for it!"

    Maybe we should handicap transgender athletes? Boy to girl has to give the real girls a ten yard head start. Girl to boy gets to toss an 8 pound shot instead of the 16 pound one the guys do.

      Maybe we need to set up more restrooms, men, women, transgender, gay, etc. (LGBTQ), etc., etc., etc. When will we realize that LGBTQ is prejudiced against normal / regular / straight, etc., etc., etc.?

    They just need to set some objective standards, the same way they sort people. It wouldn't be "fair" to have me competing in men's basketball because I'm 5'6". Any way we divide sports groups is arbitrary. It seems like there should be some objective test, like we should be able to respect people who identify as female but have male physical traits. There ought to be some objective test.

      You have recognized the reality, CG. You can't force others to accept you as a pro basketball player. The transgender "girls" have not accepted reality and they don't want things to be "fair." They want everyone else to change for them.
      Some say Trump is unstable, but these t's appear much less stable. They aren't victims of anything and should not be given the power to ruin the lives of others.

        It was you title "Thanks Obama" that tripped my alerts.

        I realize it was sarcasm, so sorry about that.

        On the other hand, the race was set up incorrectly. If the left is so conscious about "transgender" issues, they should make sure these people compete among each other.

        The term "transgender" means that it is in between male and female. So why were transgenders competing against girls? They could have set them up against boys as well, where I am sure they would have been beaten.

        This was a farce by all standards,
