I absolutely love Facebook. I use the Facebook Personal Messenger every single day to talk to my kids, my 17 grandkids, my brothers and my sister, my nieces, nephews, etc. Plus you can hit the phone icon and call friends and family right on the messenger app. When my niece did suddenly a year ago on Super Bowl Sunday 2017 her sister started a group message an invited all of us, about 30 of us, so we could coMort each other, share stories and watch the Super Bowl together. My niece was a huge Patriots fan and they won. I appreciate technology and the genius and creativity it takes to make it available. There are always negative's to everything. You have to weigh it out.

Well, ahem, and with all due apologies, and having helped build Silicon Valley when it was exciting in a good way:
I have cancelled all my Facebook accounts some time ago (yes, even the fake-named ones), and haven't watched TV in over a year.
    Results:
    1. I am more peaceful and find great happiness within myself.
    2. I get needed and wanted information via internet and email, with appropriate aliases.
    3. I am in control of my life and my existence, to the extent that is even possible, yet I assert I am a fully functioning member of society.
    4. I have not enough time for all the idiots and doofuses out there, particularly the political ones.
    5. I choose my friends, and nurture those relationships.
    6. The negative relationships have ended.
    7. Peace at last (almost).

Me too. I just unsuscribed from "Blaze", as now all discussion will be on Facebook It is teaming with liberals, it is not secure, and mostly snarky discussions, like "I think you need a different photo on your homepage>" - actual comment a friend got. It is a trolling place for pedophiles, which I have tried to impart to our daughter about her daughters. It is also a place that is spied upon by prospective employers, law enforcement and gov. Never have, don't intend to use it.

I don't have a problem with Facebook, because I ignore all the pleas for more information. Like many who are reluctant to participate in social media, the account enables me to see how friends and relatives are doing (people who haven't licked a stamp in years).

I'm finding it easier to adjust to the fact that some people communicate irrationally. I ignore them, as they feel free to be outrageous online with statements that would garner them a healthy slug to the puss face to face.

Can I get an "AMEN"? That is exactly the reason I am one of 27 people in the world who does NOT have a Facebook account. Never Had It. Never Will!!

So how do you feel sometimes? Nosebook says I have to log in to continue, and I quit Nosebook years ago because it was too intrusive.

Unfortunately it looks as if I should have my business running ads on Nosebook, and apparently it's difficult without being a member.

So ycandrea, how DO you feel?

I deleted my facebook account within a week of Trump being sworn in. I noticed very angry, wild statements by lefties and thought it better to quietly slip away... Feels great.

Well, I weigh the benefits against the negatives and FaceBook is the only way I stay in touch with everyone I love.
