Should September 2 be an Objectivist holiday?

It's the day featured in the opening chapter of Atlas Shrugged, and it crops up at various other places in the book. I think "Atlas Day" has a nice ring to it. :-)

    This reminds me of my strange AS story. When I was first reading Atlas Shrugged I happened to have it open at lunch at my office reading it on my birthday. As I started to read it the book described the date on the big calendar over the city as the same date - the date I was reading, and date of my birthday. That was an interesting coincidence.

    I think of American Independence Day as an Objectivist-friendly holiday. I've heard the modern secular commercialized version of Christmas offered too, on the idea that it's a celebration of enjoying plenty. But I see more enjoyment happening on Independence Day, so that's my favorite.

    Before there can be an Objectivist holiday, I think there needs to be a much more effective strategy for advancing the philosophy of individualism. There seems to be too much infighting among Austrian, Monetarist, and Randian individualists.
