Someone who worked in government was talking on the radio yesterday that if the government is shut down for more than 30 days, the Chief Executive can actually force all furloughed workers to re-apply for their jobs. I'd appreciate a confirmation on this but if true, it could go a long way toward starting to eliminate the career political hacks embedded in certain parts of the bureaucracies because the government could simply not re-hire them.

Spot on! She certainly did. Her mistake it that she thinks she's the smartest person in the room while Trump is the dumbest. When if fact it's just the opposite. The bottom line is that this is just plain funny.

I happen to be in a hotel; so I occasionally turn on the TV new. AT home I have Internet video, but fortunately no TV.

Did you hear that we only need a few more days of the shut down (30) in order to have government workers let go permanently? There are rules to follow but each bureaucratic agency's will need to get rid of folks.
We could expect a minimum of a 25% reduction.
