Pelosi’s Letter Effectively Bans Trump From Delivering Traditional State of the Union

Now this is o revealing of an animal thrashing and trying to escape a trap. They created the mess, and now want to double down on it. POTUS needs to send them a written response with a few paragraphs of all the things they have done , and outline their crazy looter proposals, and then have a public address to the nation in lieu of the address and tell the people just where its at. The deep state tries to fight back and looks dumber every time they try.

    Wouldn't matter, no Representatives, but the few he wants who he trusts or needs, the rest can watch TV. SCOTUS he could invite just to show RGB is really dead or dying (which Fox inadvertently had on air by mistake today).

    I heard some suggesting the Senate. But is it physically large enough to hold attendees other than senators.Would love to have the Supreme Judges including Kavanaugh with a BIG smile on his face to aggravate the dummycrats.

    My first response is to say....well change the rules!!!
    But then, it would have to apply for the dummycrats as well. So, maybe not a good idea.
    I wonder what venue would be large and prominent enough that is in the DC area. It would have to be inside this time of the year.

    Yes, the rules say the Speaker controls the podium as well as actual access to the chamber, although they cannot refuse a member entrance unless they challenge their election. Trump is not a member, so he can be locked out.

    Does POTUS actually need the permission of the Speaker to enter and/or give a speech from the House of Reps? If not, the President should march straight up to the podium and deliver his speech.

    I think the reason to cancel the SOU may simply be she hates Trump so much that she doesn't want to stand at her podium and cheerfully announce the president. Of course they are trying to use it as pressure to get their way too.

    Oh I know, I work for one HQ there, the big guys making chips...I have my mail with yahoo for 15 years now, only reason I have a home page, but they are a great source of skewed news. There is a change though in the last week, more (relatively) articles with some actual truth in them....

    She has SOME power, if just because she is in charge of the House. She withdrew the invitation, and without it you do not have a joint resolution. So, no House. Too Bad. Go to the Senate, or from Oval Office. I even liked the idea of doing the ralley and sending her a note on a napkin "Everything will be fine, in a few weeks, just wait and see" and call it a day.

    Then you live on a different planet.

    The left's resistance permeates EVERY single move they undertake, and there are many. Taken together it amounts to a giant conspiracy to the effect of preventing the president from governing.

    They miscalculated on the wisdom of Trump, though. The more they are destroying every aspect of our lives, the more resolve the president has.

    As for intentional looting: have you not followed the proposed bills the left is intending to pass? If that is not looting, I don't know what is.

    Where do you put tax on drinking water, as an example?

    The Constitution does not specify what form in which the President is to report the state of the union to Congress, nor when. I'd love to see an end to the theatrics that go on at each state of the union address. Send Congress a written memo, and speak to the public from the oval office.

    She does not have the power or the authority to request this. President Trump can deliver the State of the Union Address anywhere he wants. The Senate or the Whitehouse will be just fine.
