    Correct. It is nearly impossible today for any citizen to be aware of all laws. Thus, you are likely to be violating them left and right. Example. My in-laws village near NW side of Chicago - you cannot park a pickup or large SUV on the street overnight. Nowhere is that posted, but it is part of the village laws. The cops prowl the streets overnight and ticket all such vehicles. Even those with out of state plates - clearly those who might not know of such a law. No warning, a ticket outright. Try to fight it? They say that the people you are visiting should have told you. What nonsense.

    Reminds me of a book I read a couple years ago titled "three felonies a day; how the Feds target the innocent" and in it he shares a game federal prosecutors play. One person names a celebrity or famous entity and the others have to name charges they could bring against them.

    On so many fronts this leviathan of a government laughs at the thought of a social contract or governing at the consent of the governed.

    Pathetic, indeed...think I'll go golfing.
