I don't know what Kate's Law is. But bills named after little girls tend to be rotten laws passed for emotional reasons, like the sex offenders' registry.

It's the old practice of "log rolling." In a nearly 50-50 Congress like this one, the only way you pass a bill with a veto-proof majority is to allow each reluctant member to add one pork project to tout to his voters as an accomplishment. Thus the bill ends up looking like a Christmas tree. ObamaCare was like that, I had to read the whole thing!

This new and especially the old Congress and Senate want nothing to do with all the foreign aid pork being promoted by the dumocrats. I expect if Trump does pocket the spending bill it will then wait until a new administration takes over----IF that does happen.

That's what I would do. But Congress doesn't have to wait for January 20. They can start over as soon as the new Congress is sworn in on the 3rd.

Neither sign or Veto it. I bet he simply stuffs it in his pocket and lets it die right there. This is a rarely ever used tactic, Pocket Veto", but if he fails to act one way or the other there is not a damn thing either side can do about it until such time a new bill is introduced or a new admin is in place and does it's own new bill.

Never have I said this about a President, and in my adult life there have been at least 12 before him, but I think he is the best President we could possibly have at this time in our lives. He is strong, intelligent, caring and a Christian. He may seem to some to be crude and rude but I don't care!
