I have 6 of the 9 albums. I thought that I was the only person who had that particular Zappa one.

The tunes reached NoDak from KAAY in Little Rock, Arkansas or KOA(?) in Oklahoma City.

    Another one for the list.
    ELP : Lucky Man

    A bullet had found him
His blood ran as he cried
    No money could save him
So he laid down and he died

Sorry Gang, for the lack luster TGIFfunnies this week...I will make it up to you with: IN THE MEME TYME, that will from now on, be published on Sundays...I think it will have a better chance to go into the emailed Hot list on Mondays.
There is just too much info to waist in the dust bins of overlooked posts...also, summers coming and we best be enjoying the outdoors away from our computers and dumb phones.

If you are tokin the right stuff, you only need to look at the album cover and you can hear the music in your head. But, if I need I can crank up the pair of Sansui XP9000 4 way speakers and piss off the neighbors.

    Zong! Wong! Bong!
Old dino just had a slapped back into the past revelation that reminded me that I only had vinyl record albums when Mr. Spock first appeared on TV.
That was even before I started to buy music on those bulky 8-tracks. And that's when Star Trek fans were angry that all they had at that point was a stupid Saturday morning cartoon show give or take two or three years whatever..
Cassette players had replaced 8-track players in cars when the first Star Wars appeared before the flick was given another name. Had a CD player in the car when the Star Wars prequels cranked up with Star Trek spin-offs then going strong.

More reminiscing than funny but that's what was fresh...everything else this week was a bit stale.

Great! I have almost all the albums in that pic.

Buddy Ebsen was a dancer, and a great guy. Granny was a socialist, along with that scum, Ms Hathaway. She ran for office and Buddy spoke against her. She lost.

Prog Rock is my fav, and ELP is my fav. Just saw Carl Palmers band six weeks ago. He can still do it at 70! His band are all virtuosos.

Really don't mind if you sit this one out.
My words but a whisper your deafness a SHOUT.
I may make you feel but I can't make you think.
Your sperm's in the gutter your love's in the sink.
So you ride yourselves over the fields and
You make all your animal deals and
Your wise men don't know how it feels
To be thick as a brick.

I listened to this Tull while painting some chairs last fall. It’s length was purr fect.
