The System IS corrupt beyond repair. The U.S. Federal Government will continue to feed on us until there is nothing left and nowhere else for Mrs. Clinton, Milhous, Pelosi and Reid to go.

I felt a great amount of relief when I first heard the term "Looters." This narrows down the problem from one in which we can do nothing about to one that puts their whole nonsense into a workable perspective.. These Looters, who would otherwise be serving time in prison, are using a perverted form of "government" to legitimize their illegalities.

As much as the Looters try, they cannot obfuscate what they are doing to us. There can be no war between the "classes" (their term not ours) when there are no classes of citizens except between the Looters and the American Citizens.

So what do we usually do with Common Looters?

Yes, oil prices are stabilizing, but the overall atmosphere of business is still in the crapper, with high unemployment, high underemployment, and wage stagnation. With healthcare as issue #1 on peoples' minds, most people aren't favorably inclined even today - let alone in a couple of years.

The other thing to consider is the general world economy - which because of high taxation and welfare spending is dragging down the EU. The Russians' actions in the Ukraine aren't helping either in terms of global stability or economy - further creating problems. And China's economy is overheated with false production. Top that off with the Fed-induced dollar inflation and you've got a real mess that even stable oil prices isn't going to cure.

Don't count on the economy, oil is at a multi-year low and we are trending down to $80 / barrel. Saudi Arabia put out a statement over the weekend that they are prepared for a very long period of $80-$84 / barrel oil, years if necessary. With the US quickly regaining its position as the world's number 1 producer, its putting a bit of a glut into the market, despite the geopolitical problems everywhere. Reduced gas prices are like a tax cut, it will be a positive impact on the economy. Unfortunately, it is happening in spite of Obama's policies, not because of them. However, if oil hits around $82 / barrel, its below what shale drillers can sell it for, so that can have a negative effect on the US economy.

I hope that will be effective, but studies show it is the economy that is the major bellwether in politics. If the economy is trending downward or in the toilet (as it is now), people will vote for a change (or at least have historically). The problem in the 2012 election was that things were still going south, but hadn't done so enough to offset the "black president" euphoria - probably because Obama had delayed key provisions of the ACA until AFTER the elections.

Here's my ideal anti-Hillary montage:

Show a report of ISIS's tyranny, then come back with Hillary Clinton stating "At this point, what difference does it make?"
Show a report of the stock market tumbling and then show Clinton's statement again.
Show a report of the IRS targeting, then run Clinton's statement again.
Show the new information about the Whitewater investigation, then show Clinton again.
Last, show the pictures of the Benghazi four, then show Clinton's statement one last time.
Finish up with one last line: "You SHOULD care - because she DOESN'T."

Hillary is easy to beat... play the 3:00 am wakeup call ad she ran against Obama in the 2008 primaries, and then show Benghazi going up in flames because she had a headache and slept through it.

Well, we have another year to see how things shake out. If it were me, I'd still be following who hits up Mitt Romney to spearhead his/her funding committee. The Dems already (because of Obama's daily fundraisers) have a billion dollars in their National Committee coffers and you can bet they will use it.

Yeah but Rand Paul has a nut for a father and its a liability, the name recognition might be negative. Ted Cruz is ok, but I don't think he would do well in purple swing states. Midwesterners don't like the show off factor he has.

Possibly, but in elections, a lot is about money and fund-raising. That was the one thing Romney did better than anyone else and still does better than anyone else. Romney has publicly stated he will not run again, but you can bet that the savvy candidate is going to be asking for his help on the campaign trail.

The other thing to consider is name recognition. Dr. Carson has the credentials and background to be a great candidate, but his name recognition falls way behind Ted Cruz or Rand Paul. He's going to have to spend a lot of money to get his name out there before it will appear on the ballot.

Ben Carson is the only one that will resonate, the rest have had their chance and failed to make any headway.

You might want to take a look at the bill he passed and the version it morphed into. But try explaining that in soundbites to the voters.

I would also take a look at all the voter fraud that took place in key battleground states. The election was actually MUCH closer than the electoral college vote.

Was Mitt the ideal candidate? Name another and we can compare them.

Herman Cain - I loved his 9-9-9 plan, but the scandal deep-sixed him. Stick a fork in him.
John McCain - a liberal. He'll never get the nod in the primaries because of his voting record. Or at least one can hope.

Rand Paul - unlike his father who was an idiot on foreign policy, Rand actually seems to take a pretty good line politically in almost all critical issues. I'd sure vote for him.

Marco Rubio - he really torpedoed himself by siding with the Dems on immigration. He could still make a push demographically, but I don't see him running for President.

Ted Cruz - the real deal. I'd vote for him any day, and coming from Texas gives him a lot of Southern support.

Ben Carson - I like him. He's very well spoken and one the Dems can't play the race card on except to call him an "Uncle Tom". He has the kind of background that really appeals to voters. Definitely a possibility.

Allen West - I don't really see him as a Presidential candidate - he lost his race in Florida too easily. But he'd make a great VP or Sec State.

False hope is what the party has been peddling for decades. When you fight under the rules of the enemy you not only lose but waste vital scarce resources.
Think positive, just don't waste your efforts.

Forecasting is a purely political game. It is our tax dollars they are spending. We can possibly choose not to give them our tax dollars, eh?...there is power in numbers, folks...

U.S. Representative Trey Gowdy is a keeper. And there are others. I don't think he or they get the support they deserve. Don't wet blanket the entire Congress yet.

It is not naive to think positively. Inspiration WORKS, no doubt about it. Negative bashing isn't even productive. I agree that America as we knew it (I am 69) is vanishing rapidly. That is all the more reason to try to find a way to buck the tidal wave of Liberal-induced chaos and negativity. I also agree that the two parties are major players in the demise of our individual liberties, but so are unknowledgeable voters who are only concerned about the next Govt handout. Atlantis is mythological, America is very real and gasping for breath as we speak. We owe it to our Founders to STAND UP AND FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT.

Just because you can`t win is no excuse to refuse to fight. If your plan b is in place, you have nothing to lose by following the Founders path. We cannot demand adherence to the Constitutional rule of law if we are willing to violate it because others(congress) are.

Your middle remark is spot on: both parties are owned by the CFR and have been since FDR's administration. (Pres. Hoover, FDR's predecessor, was CFR too) Ultimately, the CFR chooses the candidates on both "sides", and the people get the illusion of choice. Either way, it doesn't matter to the CFR because they got their way in the end.

The $$-laden special interest lobbying groups also overlay the CFR as well. So much for our politicians representing the ordinary 'little guy'.

I don't believe the Republicans will win. At most they will get near-ties in both houses. They cannot win without libertarian votes, and it's time we libertarians used that fact to put Club-for-Growthers in and GOP-machine members out.

It amazes me to see so many discouraged and negative folks here. This is exactly what the Liberals want, as this almost guarantees a low voter turnout in November. Negativity is a TURN OFF...it does not invigorate or inspire...it causes others to withdraw from politics. Even the Conservative talk shows are more about whining than offering listeners constructive and compelling options and ideas for change. THINK POSITIVELY. LOOK FORWARD.

Why exactly should anyone wait for another failed election cycle? The evidence is obvious from the past 15 elections.There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that the next congress will change anything. The incentives of this system make it impossible. This is a perfect example of Einstein's definition of insanity: repeating the same action and expecting a different result.

You may be right. It is, however, our only Constitutional option. If the next congress decides to follow the path we are now on, then a resourceful American recognizes the reality, lives their life - and must decide where they will draw the line.
