    Hello blarman,
This Global warming is wearing me out... grumble, grumble grump.
It was -18F at my house this morning.... I wanted to plant citrus and palm trees on my property and grow coconuts... build a Tiki hut... They promised me 20 years ago... they reassured me along the way! I guess my grandiose plans about NOT having to move south for retirement are shot all to... Anyway, I really hate to see those guys in Washington suffer. Well, maybe hate is the wrong word. :)
    Regards,
    O.A.

Spoke with a service rep by phone today who assured me this cold weather is a result of global warming and we need to do more about it. $5Au asked if she would be willing to pay more in taxes so the Department of Green Energy could buy more carbon extractor machines from Al Gore's company in California. She enthusiastically said "yes." There is one born every day.

As the EPA bans wood stoves and shuts down electrical power plants, it will actually come true - Americans will freeze in the dark. Incredible. More Atlas Shrugged Now Non-fiction

They don't understand that concept in the slightest. Connecticut has more forested land now than 100 years ago because of alternate fuels and building materials available now. Air is cleaner. The EPA needs a kick to the curb. It's snowing more as I write this. Has been for the past 4 hours. I'm cranking my pellet stove and toasting my toes at this moment. Ahhhhhh

When it gets into the 30's here in Florida, it leads one to believe that global warming just may be a myth. That fact that certain scientists fudge the data may also bring about disbelief.

When you complain about the cold they assure you that 'climate' is not the local, more variable 'weather'. But the campaign exploits the weather, heavily promoting the climate hysteria agenda during the heat of the summer and remaining relatively silent in the cold of winter. When they have to address it they tell you that the cold is caused by the heat.

This is very nice. No matter how many people with grey beards and long labcoats intone that there is Global Warming, most real people who are freezing their butts off will believe what they feel. (There are always rabid exceptions.) So the colder the weather, the better it is for kicking the legs out from under Global Warming.

As for the possibility of another ice age, I do want to mention that in about 3600BC the temperature dropped and farming (which was about 3-6K years old at the time) became impossible as far south as Central Europe. This temperature drop is thought to have happened in the span of a single year.

I am not an icer; certainly not a warmist. It would be interesting to see a new Ice Age, though...

      Jan,
you should get a copy of "THE COOLING" HAS THE NEXT ICE AGE ALREADY BEGUN? CAN WE SURVIVE IT? by Lowell Ponte. I believe it will answer some questions for you.

All you folks who live in the New England area will see a return to the 1700's when the area did not have a winter. well it is going to happen again in 2015. Technically the ground will have to start wrming to melt the snow. When sunlight hits the snow the rays bounce back into space, the radiant heat in those rays does not melt the snow. The dark ground does absorb the rays and as it warms the snow melts. since the snow has fallen into the southern part of the USA it will have to start melting there before it ever gets to Boston and once there in May it will have to melt away about 9 to 10 FEET of the white stuff before the ground gets heated so the heat from the ground can heat the air. It will go faster if algore were to show up with all of his hot air. does anyone know or actually care where he is. That said the skiing at mount washington's tuckerman's ravine may extend to october this year.

True story from Tulsa, Oklahoma. We had a particularly heavy snow (13") and given that Tulsa doesn't have snow removal equipment our Chief of the fire department decided that he would get his trucks out and have them drive around the streets packing down the snow so people could get to where they wanted to go easier. So we had streets covered with half an inch of ice after he was finished. We had to leave it with "He had good intentions".

If anyone had said "global warming" to me this week in Ohio, I would have hit them. We suffered two nights with double digits below zero, one a record for that day -13 degrees. When we were told it would get in the 20s today, we soon saw six inches of snow piling up. As to saving the environment, why are we losing trees, not to rape of the forests, but to BUGS! We had 12 Ash trees cut down last week, part of a three year project. Now, we are told, more bugs coming in from China will take out Maple, Raintree, and a list of other trees. Now, where are the environmental kooks on this issue - not to be found. It's okay to import bugs that wipe out forests, but not if man cuts them and replants. I am sick of it all, the cold, the snow, the bugs and the liberals!

Global warming/cooling/climate change bears a frightening resemblance to Obama. Both are total fakes.

The people that voted for this charlatan not once, but twice must be the same people that worship at the throne of climate change regardless of and ignoring the inconvenient truth.

Hey, get over it. This is winter after all. As for me I’m going to do all I can to emit GHGs because obviously what we have done to date hasn’t worked!

    Reminder: the earth is warming.

Incidentally, the Arctic may be shrinking but the Antarctic has expanded proportionally...again.

Its in the 80's here in Phoenix all week...t-shirts and jeans. Same old, same old.
