Where is the Newest Galts Gulch?

I am curious where khalling lives that she feels is nearer to Galts Gulch. I am so disgusted in the US, and I think about emigrating, but to WHERE? Everywhere else seems even worse financially or politically.

    Hi Iam, Thanks for holding the fort down while I have been finding my way here, Glad you made it too! Don't forget to watch the final day of filming (for us Producers Only), Friday 2/14. It has been a hoot.
    Learned a lot about the movie making business. Chat with other producers as they are filming live.

    Thanks. I'm only casually interested as I am pretty well hunkered in. We are nearing Liberty's last stand with nowhere to run. Beware the wrath of a cornered animal. Liberty can't be kept on the run for long. Why should good run from evil anyways?

    I've done a little reading on Galt's Gulch Chile, looks like a decent place. What, in your opinion, is there to be wary of? I know it took me over twenty minutes to read though the process of getting a firearm registered in Chile. A little bit more paperwork than I care for.

    I will check the market for Malaysian wives. Might have a little trouble about that with mine. Lol!

    Interesting approach, though. Might be a long commute to Bay Front.

    Can you maintain SGP PR status living in Malaysia? Or do you not bother?

    Yes, so here's what you do. You buy a house in Johor Baru across the strait in Malaysia. Lower costs. This is what a lot of Chinese do. Have Malaysian wife.

    I have investigated several jobs there. I have a lot of respect for Singapore. It's a little pricey for retirement, yes?

    I am surprised. The impression I have of Argentina is that of a kleptocracy headed toward a police state. I would think any "rights" or property are on shaky ground. What makes you feel better about it?

    I am in a latin american country. I enjoy a much lower cost of living than the US. There is more work to get a permit to work where I live, but since my business is in the states-I do not have to pay taxes or meet regulatory rules. I also enjoy more time, due to the low cost of living. Now I can focus on my writing and keep Hank Rangar occupied and getting justice in the US. :)
    Start with International Living and then search for ex-pat blogs in areas you may like to live in.

    I moved to Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico in 2000, but after realizing that foreigners have very few rights in Mexico and I was tired of "standing out" because of my skin color (even with a suntan I was still (obviously) a gringo), I decided (in 2006) to move to Argentina, where the only "right" I don't have as a non-citizen is to vote in presidential elections. As a legal, permanent resident I have the same rights as citizens.

    I am very happy where I am and have no desire to return to the USA.
