I post this to answer further questions on my earlier post regarding voting as a right

    yes. Locke and Rousseau are usually lumped together in college courses. Luckily, I got Treatises and Politic and ...um I forget- it was Plato but can't remember which...in my philosophy course.

    Thanks for posting this. It makes very clear a concept that is difficult for most people to grasp. It is not taught in schools or colleges. You have to dig deep into political theory from Locke on forward to get the concept and gain an understanding of this basic idea.
