Hopefully it's not too late for anywhere. But it will be much harder in places with an entrenched view on things that needs to be overcome and educated.

However I am mostly an optimist so I say nothing should ever be impossible.

Nothing against Texas, but I don't think any one state is safe as long as the national government continues on the current path. During the election I kept seeing garbage social media posts about how Oklahoma was the only state to not have a single Obama victory or something which was false. I didn't look up any other state but I looked up Utah and we had no Obama victories as well.

Does that mean I think Utah is a better choice as a more free, better run, state than Texas? No. However I think it's one of the good ones.

We were actually just having a discussion at work today about how there really is nowhere to go if you are really unhappy with the country and that's probably a good thing. The best answer at this point is for people to dig in and do something about it and hopefully influence a change in the winds for the future of this country, and then the world.

I agree absolutely that we have to dig in. I'm not yet willing to just give up. But at this point, Texas, Oklahoma or any place west (with the exception of California, Oregon and Washington) look a whole lot better than here in Illinois. It may be too late for us here in Obamaland.
