"The Frankenstein Candidate"

Tightly plotted, surprising twists and turns, readers need to keep their hands on the wheel for this political thriller ride. Although following the “awakening” of a complex heroine, Olivia Allen, this novel is chock full of strong, admirable characters-which is such a pleasure compared with the typical thriller today. Vinay Kolhatkar’s story-telling almost mesmerizes as truths are revealed, one by one, against the backdrop of cataclysmic personal, national and international events disrupting and colliding. Could not put it down! Did not see the end coming! There are so many important themes in the story, I am still thinking about them two days after finishing the book. You will re-read this novel. Tell me, AR fans, what other books you re-read?
$ 1.99 until the end of September. Grab a copy-we'll discuss it in the Gulch next week-

Venti decaf skinny mocha with a few pumps of hazelnut. Then I'll owe you even more though. Thank you for writing such a spellbinding novel.

Hmm, when I re-read, often I pick. Have re-read the first several pages of the Gail Wynand chapter (his formative years) in The Fountainhead---totally loved the way that character was created. Most re-read for me was Friedman's Free To Choose, a lot of the Rand non-fiction.

Since I don't have Kindle, and will probably miss the 1.99 special, two caps please. Make them extra grande with heavy cream and three sugars.

Oh, crap. I forgot. I'm not drinking coffee any more.

I am sorry about the confusion. The $1.99 special is on & off a few times. I put it ON AGAIN after Dale's e-mail. It was off for a few days but I had no idea that this post was about to appear. IF I HAD KNOWN, I WOULD HAVE KEPT THE $1.99 PRICE. For those of you who paid the $1.51 more, I owe you a cappuccino, the next time when we are in the same place.

Well, between 'Pendulum' and 'Candidate', there's about 30 bucks my wife is going to ream me out about. BTW, where is 'Candidate' available for $1.99?
