Will college students question obvious lies with critical thinking, or just unthinkingly accept their collective teachings, and fast trak them to others?
And this is why parents are wasting their money sending kids to college today! What a bunch of non-thinking, irrational twits. The one boy seemed completely bewildered about what he was being asked. The women are already in the herd mode, believe all women, all men bad mindset. If they had been asked to name one other Supreme Court Justice, hey would not have been able to answer. Wonder what they would say if the Court legislated everyone had to be Objectivists, they better think before they answer about the role fo the court.
my youngest son graduates in December...he fought the same battle against the professors that I fought 5 decades ago...and his fellow students are even more ignorant about logic, reason, and the rule of law...very scary...
Critical thinking is a very important tool for living in a civizlization. It’s not like these colleges have become training grounds for radical activists bent on destroying America or the republic for which it stands. Is it?
bad assumption...college students capable of critical thinking...
I have been a high school debate judge for 40+ years...even these kids have never heard of reason or logic...but it is a joy challenging them to discover how to think objectively...
So should everyone running for congress or other elected office. Unfortunately, they have been so dumbed down by public schools and the MSM I doubt they will recognize the lessons to be learned.
The liberals will believe any lie tha supports their agenda, period. Its time for a revolution IMHO. Split the country in two somehow, with liberals on one side and conservatives on the other. This constant infighting between the producers and the liberals needs to stop. As a country we are getting nowhere fast.
I wonder if the interviewer stated to the students off camera his "facts" were actually contrived for the interview. It sure would send a powerful message to them about believing anything said by anyone.
This video is completely dishonest. If students are moving to the left, it is only because everyone they know on the right refuses to take ideas seriously.
In general, young people would rather die than be a hypocrite. And it is only a hypocrite who will vociferously defend himself against baseless, arbitrary allegations.
A man of integrity, a Howard Roark, would have refused to answer a single loaded question & walked away from the corrupt political orgy that has engulfed the Senate.
But then Kavanaugh is a Jesuit, and so presumably believes in "original sin," so begins to remind me of Hank Rearden, who likewise needed to shrug.
The student’s quick affirmative answers were very telling. It’s reeks of those times of collective punishment, when given enough power, can swing unpredictably, and even mercilessly. That part alone should make people cringe.
"lack of any basic critical thinking" I agree. That has been true of most people for 50+ years. Maybe more, but I have no experience in previous eras. The education system was better then and people had to actually do something productive or starve. The survival of the fittest has been nearly eliminated and the gene pool is a filthy sewer.
I'll be honest, the first part of this totally lost me. While I understand he was being absurd intentionally, I don't think it accomplished much.
The second part where he posed the question "Do you think the role of the Supreme Court should be to push social justice rather than the Constitution?" was far more telling. That's the scary one.

Lie, “Did you know the earth is flat?”
College student response, “Is it really?”
It is the lack of any basic critical thinking that this video is pointing out.
We know nothing about the people he put on the video.
